Booking conditions

These booking conditions apply to all cruise holiday bookings made through DJD Travel Limited ("we/us"), a Guernsey registered company (no. 63013) with its registered office at 3 Sous la Mer, La Rocquette, Castel, Guernsey GY5 7BD, trading as Cruiseologists.

By making a booking with us, the client ("you/your") agree to the following terms:

1. Our Role as Agent

We act solely as a retail agent on behalf of JTA Cruise, a third-party ATOL- and ABTA-protected tour operator (the “Tour Operator”). Your contract is with the Tour Operator named on your confirmation invoice, not with us. We do not create or operate any cruise holidays or travel services ourselves. Our responsibility is to arrange your booking and pass on payments and documentation between you and the Tour Operator.

2. Booking and Payment

At the time of booking, you must pay a deposit or full balance as required by the Tour Operator. We will advise you of these amounts and the balance due date. All monies paid to us are held on behalf of the Tour Operator and passed on accordingly. If you fail to make a payment on time, the Tour Operator may cancel your booking and charge cancellation fees in line with their terms. We accept no liability for such cancellation.

3. Tour Operator Terms & Conditions

Your booking is subject to the full terms and conditions of the Tour Operator, which govern your contract. These will include important details on cancellation charges, changes to bookings, refunds, liability, and financial protection. You must read and agree to these terms before confirming your booking. Copies are available on request or can be found on all of our proposals.

4. Financial Protection

Where your cruise holiday includes flights, the Tour Operator will issue an ATOL Certificate, confirming your financial protection under their licence. Non-flight holidays are protected under ABTA bonding. We will provide all documentation as soon as we receive it from the Tour Operator. Added financial protection is provided through our membership of Protected Trust Services and our use of the client trust account that they administer for us.

5. Cancellations and Amendments

To cancel or amend your booking, you must contact us in writing. We will forward your request to the Tour Operator. Any applicable fees or refunds are subject to the Tour Operator’s terms. We will inform you of those charges before proceeding. We do not control these charges and cannot waive them.

6. Travel Documentation

All travel documents, confirmations, ATOL certificates, and tickets are issued by the Tour Operator. We will send these to you upon receipt. It is your responsibility to check all details carefully and report any discrepancies immediately.

7. Liability

As an agent, we are not liable for the acts, omissions, or services of the Tour Operator or any third-party suppliers, including cruise lines, airlines, and accommodation providers. Any issues with the performance of your holiday must be taken up directly with the Tour Operator.

8. Accuracy and Availability

We rely on the Tour Operator for information on itineraries, pricing, cabin availability, and promotions. We do our best to ensure all information is correct at the time of booking, but all holidays are subject to availability and confirmation by the Tour Operator.
